Kumar and Clara are going steady, he has already moved to Daly City and enduring the commute and above all the windy cold weather in the middle of summer! Clara is busier than ever with her studies, but seems like Daly city move is working wonders.

Kumar told Clara, it is time that she wears a ring.  This is it, this is it!  Clara is the hopeless romantic type so she was hoping for something special.  She was giving Kumar hints for a romantic getaway, if not out of state, at least outside Bay Area.  Napa Valley will do, she thought.  Weeks passed and no plans yet.  Hmm.. maybe he was preparing for something big. 

Kumar on the other hand is planning on a Christmas Eve surprise. He is looking for a ring, quarter to three in size (Clara has really thin fingers). Just a few days, he think he has found the one Clara will love. And they can size it up in time for the Christmas. But Clara has other plans, oblivious of whats in the cooking.

It was Christmas season and Clara invited some friends over to his Daly City Apartment.  Just half an hour before friends show up, Kumar catches Lara up, hugs her and asks, almost out of nowhere, “will you marry me and spend the rest of your life with me?” and showed her the ring. Clara a little bit surprised, says “is this the proposal??” ...... and of course she said “yes, yes, yes”.
